Faithfull to His Word's'...

I wanted to share a quick testimony of God's faithfulness. Back in 2007 I attended the Call in Nashville, TN. We were at the time preparing ourselves to move South Africa at the end of the year and were just beginning the process of fundraising. I had just completed a 40 day fast as part of the run up to the Call and was really seeking the Lord for wisdom and direction regarding the new season He was leading myself and Ang into. Following the event that day I was went to my aunt and uncle's house, they had some out of town friends who were there visiting to attend the Call as well.

During our time of fellowship and reflecting on the days events they decided to pray for Ang and I. Some of the details are a little fuzzy, but I remember my uncle's friend telling me of a vision that he had of Ang and I and our two boys(yes only two at that point ;) in Africa and we were pitching a tent. Each of us was holding a corner and we were stretching it out, we were trying to put down the tent pegs but the boys kept going a little further than what we would instruct them so Ang and I would have to pull our corners further as well to compensate. Eventually the tent began to spread over the whole of Africa and written on the tent was the name of Jesus. There was a number of other things they shared at the time but this picture is what stood out to me and I wrote it in my journal to remind us later.

Fast forward a bit to 2008 and I received another Word from the Lord this time through one of our first DTS students. I had just started to become aware of the fact that many of the Tswana people we were ministering to had no access to the Bible due to the fact that they either could not or would not read. I had begun contemplating trying to record the Tswana Bible, but hadn't shared my plan with anyone as I still wasn't sure if it was the Lord leading me or my own idea. When I came went to morning prayer that morning however, Moarabi came to me and handed me a box of Bibles and said to me "The Lord told me you are going to be taking these to the people of Africa." Moarabi had no clue He was confirming what God had already spoken to my heart to do in regards to recording the Tswana Bible and now I realize I had no clue as to the scope of the Word Moarabi was giving me.

So fast forward again to present day. The reason I am sharing this is because last week during one of our staff prayer mtgs our VP of Scripture Engagement Services, Gerhard Marx, shared that the Lord had been speaking to the Davar executive team that the Lord had given them a word from Isaiah 54 that it was time to enlarge the tent and stretch out the tent pegs. Despite not having thought about the word from Nashville in a few years, instantly I was reminded of it. As I meditated on this, suddenly I was also reminded of the word Moarabi had given me and I saw the two come together as one. I remembered the Name written on the tent but the Lord also reminded me that Jesus is also called the 'Living Word' the 'Davar'. In that moment the Lord said to me "See now, am I not faithfull to My Word?" What is so awesome is the fact that I could not have made all this come together the way it has if I had tried on my own. Yet God did it in spite of me not being faithful to remember His words or even knowing how those two words were fit together! He truly never ceases to amaze me with the works of His hands!

May this be an encouragement to those of you who are reading this, He is faithful to His Word...Always! So remember those things He has spoken to you and over you for He is faithful to do all that He says He will do!
